Subeen Shim
Subeen has lived in the UK, Romania, Singapore, and Korea. She has a dear passion for violin, communications, and science. She has played the violin since the age of 10 and loves the sense of connection that she feels with her music and people. Subeen has attended the Aspen Music Festival and School. She has been a TEDx speaker when she was in 8th grade in Singapore, and she is now active as a TEDx organizer to provide meaningful opportunities to others. She has attended the CCIR Cambridge Scholars Research Program with the STEM Scholarship where she met unforgettable professors and peers who expanded her educational journey and way of thinking as a developing individual. She aspires to continue to help others by maximizing her abilities to do so.
Anar Thakor
Anar Thakor has lived in the UK and the USA. She has a burning passion for music, maths, and science. She is a Kumon Scholar and received her Diploma in Mathematics from the program in 2020. She has received an honorable mention in Toshiba Exploravision, a prestigious science competition based in the US. She has been playing the piano since she was 9 years old and feels like she has a special connection with music. She has been a part of the CCIR Cambridge Scholars Research Program and hopes to provide similar opportunities to others.
